Katchar / Academia: Social Science Periodical is the official publication of the International Scientific-Educational Center (ISEC) of NAS RA․
Katchar / Academia: Social Science Periodical is published by the decision of the Scientific Council of ISEC NAS RA.
The periodical was created in 2014 on the basis of the journal “Collection of scientific articles” (Editor-in-Chief: Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor N. Hakobyan). In 2016 it was renamed “Katchar.” In 2025, the “Katchar” scientific journal was renamed “Katchar / Academia: Social Science Periodical.”
Since 2016, it has been included in the list of scientific collections approved by the Supreme Certifying Commission of the RA that is allowed to publish the main results and provisions of dissertations.
Katchar / Academia: Social Science Periodical is published semi-annually and it is aimed at contributing to the development, improvement, and progress of the social sciences field.

The journal, by publishing scientific and scientific-methodological articles, aims to inform about current and urgent valuable ideas and research findings in the field of social sciences, provide an opportunity for scientific discussions and debates around these topics, and foster the development of new ideas and their implementation.
Katchar/Academia: Social Science Periodical publishes scientific and scientific-methodological articles that aim to assist in solving the problems faced by the social science fields, uncovering and providing insights into current issues, as well as studying and implementing international experience.
The fields explored within Katchar / Academia: Social Science Periodical summarize articles on the key issues of the humanities and social sciences, intended for those working in science and education, as well as anyone interested in the development of the social sciences.
Adhering to the principles of freedom of thought and freedom of speech, the editorial board of the publication reminds that the points of view presented in the articles and publications belong to the authors and may not coincide with the official position of the editorial board.
Contents, summaries, and keywords to the articles will be published on the Web page of Katchar / Academia: Social Science Periodical.
Articles are published free of charge through ISEC NAS RA funding.
